- 4 cups pomegranate juice
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 orange sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 8 cloves
- 3 star anise
- 4 cardamon pods cracked

Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove orange slices and spices.

- If you use alcohol-free red wine omit the water addition from the recipe.
- Only use whole and not ground spices so you don't over-spice your mulled wine.
- Make sure you are using 100% juice with no added sugar.
